The Handmaids Tale

This show is based off the book with the same name. This is about a dystopian society where the United States government was overthrown is now being led by Gilead. Women are now forced to work in limited roles. Their life has changed forever and they will no longer have the freedom they once knew. Due to low infertility rates they have sectioned off the fertile women to have children for the wealthy families who are called the handmaids. There are 4 different categories you can be placed in and they each have their own roles. The story closely follows the life of June Osborne also know as Offred or Ofjoseph. Before the world turned into what it is now, June was happily married and had a daughter. During the duration of the show she is trying to become reunited with them again. This show is on Hulu.
